In view of the expected ban on cryptos, banks have become cautious about the dealings in cryptos. They are asking for clarifications regarding crypto-related transactions. If there is no satisfactory response. the transactions would be restrained. After the SC order in 2020, most banks had looked the other way when there were crypto dealings. Maybe, there could be ban on buying, selling and trading cryptos. Banks are prudent in exercising due diligence. Bitcoin and other virtual currencies could be treated as risks. RBI is yet to issue the new guidelines.
