Data Singularity : Beyond IoT

As you use the search engine of Google, Google comes to know what your searches are. Imagine all that is in our surroundings get sensors, say doors, dams, streets, cars, and get connected to data centers housing millions of computer servers, which then manage this information and learn from it. These servers could then guide  these devices to  operate more effectively.A cold home turns into a warm home if the  weather becomes chilly, and street lights change the luminosity depending upon darkness and traffic or an insurance company processes an accident claim as soon as the car meets an accident. In this process machines have gathered information, learn  from it and change in the light of what they have learnt. All this happens in a jiffy. This will change the lives of the majority of population on the earth. The project is called data singularity. Such a project in which an automated system can react to enormous data like a thoughtful person is difficult to develop. It is a challenge that has to be  accepted. Adam Bosworth is working on it. He wants to deal with data using math. At present he is at Salesforce.com which makes interactive software. It runs sales for thousands of companies. His concept will have effects far beyond a little more efficiency. The whole world would convert into a smart object which could be continuously improved. The moot question is who would control the data from the sensors to the the cloud and back.
