Big Tech companies Apple and Google contend that they do not receive commissions from most app developers. They pay only when they charge the users for their app or offer content for purchases within the app, and when the user makes the payment.
Almost 87% of Indian developers on Apple’s Store do not pay any commission. Almost 97% of developers on Google Play Store distribute their apps and services free of cost. On Apple, 30% commission is paid by 0.08% developers.
