OTT channels spruced up their libraries with new original content. The number of paid subscribers rose up. There were specially designed mobile only plans. Movies were acquired for digital premieres. Several movies had direct-to-OTT releases. Indian OTT platforms had a freemium model. They realised that subscriptions offer better monetisation opportunities.
