Indian SaaS firms have smart founders and strong investor support. In 2021, some 40 startups reached a unicorn status. Investment in SaaS has grown manifold. Indian SaaS firms have been estimated to have a revenue of $30 billion by 2025. It accounts for 8-9 per cent share of the SaaS market.

There are about 9000 SaaS firms (2021). They generate employment in India and outside. They employ technically skilled people across technologies such as Cloud, AI/ML, advanced analytics and project management. They are expanding geographically. They cater to the customers of over 180 countries. Startups conduct bootcamps and hire manpower.
